This Cookie Policy explains how TrustFair.com uses cookies and similar technologies. It applies to the website TrustFair.de as well as to the functions and services provided via it.

In addition, under Dutch law, certain analytics cookies configured in a privacy-friendly manner may be permitted without consent if they are used exclusively to measure the quality or effectiveness of the service offered and have little or no impact on your privacy.

The exception to cookie consent does not replace any legal basis under the GDPR. If personal data is processed by cookies, a legal basis according to type must also be provided. 6 GDPR exist.

Strictly necessary cookies enable basic functions that you expressly request. These may include, in particular:

  • meeting management;

  • Protection against cross-site request forgery, abuse, spam and attacks;

  • secure submission of forms;

These cookies are used without prior consent, as far as they are absolutely necessary for the function requested by you.

As far as personal data are processed, the processing is based on art, depending on the purpose. 6 par. 1 lit. b GDPR, if it is necessary for the execution of a contract or pre-contractual measures, or on art. 6 par. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the safe, stable and functional operation of the platform.

Functional cookies store settings or enable convenience functions that are not absolutely necessary for basic operation.

If such a cookie is not absolutely necessary due to a function expressly requested by you, it will only be used with your prior consent. The legal basis for the associated processing of personal data is art. 6 par. 1 lit. a GDPR.

TrustFair.de may only use analysis cookies without consent if all the requirements of the Dutch exception are met. This presupposes in particular that:

  • the measurement exclusively serves the quality or effectiveness of TrustFair.de;

  • there is no cross-site tracking;

  • no user or interest profiles are created for advertising;

  • the data are not combined with data from other services;

  • IP addresses and other identifiers are abbreviated or otherwise protected as far as possible;

  • a service provider does not use the data for its own purposes;

  • adequate contractual, technical and organisational safeguards are in place;

  • the storage time is limited to the necessary extent;

  • the processing has little or no impact on your privacy.

Once these prerequisites are not fully met, the analysis will only be performed after your prior consent.

Insofar as personal data are processed in a consent-free, data protection-friendly range measurement, this is done on the basis of art. 6 par. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the statistical evaluation and improvement of the quality, security and usability of TrustFair.de. In doing so, the interests and rights of the data subjects are taken into account and the processing is limited to the necessary extent.

Analytics cookies that go beyond a data protection-friendly range measurement are only used after your prior consent.

Marketing and tracking cookies can be used to measure campaigns, create interest profiles, personalize content or advertising, or recognize users across different websites and devices.

When embedding external content or services, for example maps, videos, social media content, captcha, support or chat services, third parties may store or read information on your device and receive personal data.

Cookies of a payment service provider can be used without separate cookie consent, as far as they are absolutely necessary for a payment transaction that you have expressly initiated. Further analysis, profiling or marketing purposes are not included.

Before giving your consent, at least the following information will be displayed there:

  • name of the cookie or technology;

  • provider and responsible entity;

  • purpose and category;

  • the type of information stored or read;

  • storage time or function time;

  • accessibility from third parties;

  • recipients or categories of recipients;

  • possible transfer to countries outside the European Economic Area;

  • Legal basis and revocation option.

The information in the cookie settings is part of this cookie policy. No cookies or services requiring consent are used, which are not indicated there and are included in your selection.

Consent is obtained before a cookie requiring consent is stored, read out or a corresponding external service is loaded.

The consent is:

  • by a clear confirmatory action;

Optional categories are deactivated by default. Silence, inactivity, mere surfing, scrolling or pre-selected checkboxes are not considered consent.

The choices “Everyone accepts” and ‘Reject Optional’ are offered on the first level of the cookie banner easily findable and equivalent. The rejection of optional cookies must not be unnecessarily complicated or influenced by misleading design.

The use of the basic platform functions is in principle also possible without consent to optional cookies. Functions that are technically based on a voluntarily activated external service cannot be provided without this consent.

Your cookie selection is stored so that it can be taken into account during further visits and the consent can be proven. The storage of the selection is absolutely necessary for consent management.

The refusal or consent can in principle be stored for up to twelve months. A shorter duration applies if this is technically set. Before this period expires, we will not ask for your consent again, unless the purposes, providers or technologies change significantly or a re-enquiry is required for legal reasons.

For proof of consent, in particular time, selected categories, consent text, policy version and a pseudonymous consent identifier can be processed. The processing takes place on the basis of art. 6 par. 1 lit. c GDPR in connection with art. 7 par. 1 GDPR and additional Art. 6 par. 1 lit. f GDPR. You can always choose from the permanently accessible link “Cookie settings” change or revoke a given consent. Revocation is just as easy as giving consent.

The revocation affects the future and does not affect the lawfulness of the processing until the time of revocation. After the revocation, the affected cookies are no longer read out or reset. As far as technically possible, already set optional cookies are deleted or deactivated for further use.

You can also delete cookies via your browser. Deleting the consent cookie may result in the cookie banner being displayed again on the next visit.

You can view, delete, restrict or completely block cookies in your browser. In the event of complete blockage, essential functions may be impaired, in particular:

Browser settings do not replace the revocation of an already granted consent to TrustFair.de. In addition, use the cookie settings on the website.

Session cookies are generally deleted when the session ends or the browser is closed. Permanent cookies are automatically deleted after the deadline specified in the cookie settings, unless you remove them yourself beforehand.

Personal data processed using cookies will be deleted or anonymised as soon as they are no longer necessary for the respective purpose and there are no legal storage obligations or legitimate reasons for further storage.

The specific functional and storage duration of each cookie is specified in the cookie settings.

If external providers are used, they may receive personal data as processors or independent controllers. The specific providers used and their respective role are mentioned in the cookie settings and, where necessary, in the data protection declaration.

A transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area will only take place if the requirements of Art. 44 to 49 GDPR are met. Depending on the recipient, the transfer can be based in particular on an adequacy decision of the European Commission, appropriate guarantees such as EU standard contractual clauses or a legal exception.
